 December 30 2007. Full time 0-48...Half-time...Town nil..Haven 24. A young Haven side left Town empty handed on the December 30 Ike Southward memorial friendly fixture.
Craig Calvert opened the scoring by going over in the corner. This was followed by trys from Derry Eilbeck and John Lebbon although all three conversions were missed leaving the score at 12-0. Academy star Chris Smith then went over with his first touch of the ball and this time the conversion was made. Debutant Ade Adebisi scored soon after and the conversion took the score to 24-0, how it would stay until half time. John Lebbon was first to score in the second half, grabbing his second try by going over in the corner. Marc Shackley, who was also making his debut, scored a converted try to take the score to 36-0 in Haven's favour. Big prop Scott Teare then added to Town's misery by taking Haven
to the 40 point mark. Further trys from Spencer Miller and Rob
